Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang will be returning to Chicago to teach his family’s art. Chen laoshi will teach and correct silk-reeling exercises and the Laojia Yilu form.
Some background on Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang:
- 19th generation lineage-holder of Chen family Taijiquan
- Grandson of the 17th generation lineage-holder, Chen Fake
- Direct descendent of Chen Wangting
- Father of 20th generation master Chen Yingjun
- Uncle of 20th generation masters Chen Bing, Chen Ziqiang, and Chen Zijun
Chen laoshi is famous for his clear, specific instruction and his focused attention on the exacting execution of key fundamentals.
NOTE: Class sizes will be capped at 30 due to the venue.

- June 13: silk-reeling exercises
- 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm
- June 14 – 15: Laojia Yilu instruction & corrections
- 9:00 am – 11:30 am, 2:30 pm – 5:00 pm

- parking: metered street parking on Bryn Mawr Ave, free street parking on the side streets (past the corners) and on Kedzie and Kimball.
Tuition
- 2.5 hour session – $100
- 1 full day (5 hours) – $175
- weekend – $300
- full workshop – $450
- full workshop (current students of Chicago Taiji) – $420
